A calm but also powerfull painting from my series of artworks called “Soft”.

The composition in the painting is a bit different than the other paintings from the Soft-collection. A bit more is happening on the canvas, but the overall look is still very soft and quiet.

Painted with acrylics and other mixed media on canvas.

The painting i dominated by blue, green and golden colours that all together create a very beautiful expression.

You will experience how the colors change character depending on how the light falls.

Both my painting process and the finished expression of this piece represent my desire for more calm and softness in my everyday life, in my art, and in my life in general. I hope you can sense this as you explore the transparent surfaces and layers that give this painting its character.

The transparent layers in this painting have allowed for a calmer process than what I am used to. This is especially because the movement of the mediums across the canvas, and the drying time required to achieve the desired expression, demand a great deal of patience. It has required me to remain more still and passive in the process than I typically am with many of my other works.

The piece has been fixed with an invisible matte spray, which protects it against sunlight and dust.
